Thank you for choosing to take the Core Values Exercise. Identifying your Core Values opens the door to understanding on a deeper level what truly matters to you and motivates you. Knowing and applying your Core Values in your daily life is a powerful access to being more effective in the face of difficult or challenging situations.

There are four parts to the Core Values exercise:

1) Identifying
In this section you will identify your Core Values.

2) Verifying
Here you will verify whether the values you identified are in fact Core Values as contrasted with values you hold as important.

3) Defining (Optional)
In this section you will be asked to answer a series of question to help you define what you Core Values mean to you. Here is where you can be as detailed as you want or not.

4) Application (Optional)
Now that you have identified and defined your Core Values, this section offers suggestions as to how to incorporate your Core Values into you everyday life.

This exercise can take 10-15 minutes or longer depending on how detailed you want to be; it’s up to you. Allow yourself sufficient time to engage fully. You will have the opportunity to print out a FREE copy of your core values when you finish.
